Description
Job description

The Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families supports distressed children and their families through innovative therapeutic practice and research, training and promoting awareness of mental health issues.

In April 2019, the Centre opened its new Centre of Excellence located in King's Cross.

The Children and Young People's Improving Access to Psychological Therapies programme (CYP-IAPT) is a service transformation programme that aims to improve Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and develop the workforce.

The Child Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP) Programme is part of this nationally funded programme and aims to train a workforce of new practitioners that offer help for common difficulties in children and young people, in particular CBT-informed evidence-based guided self-help for low to moderate intensity anxiety, low mood and behaviour problems, within a variety of community settings.

In collaboration with University College London (UCL) as the degree awarding body, the Centre is recruiting two Course Tutors to support the delivery of the CWP programme.

The Course Tutors will have responsibility for the development and delivery of two modules, ensuring all material concerning the module is up to date.

They will also be expected to facilitate practice tutor groups, contributing to the training and support of CWP trainees in a variety of ways in order to develop their learning and CWP practice.

The post-holders will also contribute to teaching sessions, and undertake marking and moderating of course assignments, personal tutoring and make other similar contributions to support the delivery of the programme.

Location

Hybrid (a mixture of home/onsite working): the delivery of the teaching and Practice Tutor Groups will be face-to-face at our London office (King's Cross - 4-8 Rodney Street, London N1 9JH) and occasionally remote/online (some flexibility will be necessary should circumstances change).

It will be essential for the post holders to work from the London office on Friday's during term time.
