FP&A AnalystLocation - Blackburn
Salary - £55,000 DOE
Simpson Judge are working with a world-leading retailer, with offices based in Blackburn.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with BI & Country Commercial Finance Teams to provide collaboration and deeper understanding of key P&L lines and metrics
- Focus on a standardised approach to analysis of business streams / cost areas to ensure deeper understanding of trading
- Deliver timely analysis of market and competitor comparatives
- Work closely with the business real estate colleagues and Fixed Asset teams to provide detailed capital ROI analysis on a regular basis
- Key support for strategic decision making including modelling of initiatives using business knowledge and data
- Support the implementation of SAP Analytics Cloud Reporting
- Prepare regular presentations on findings which are clear and concise, and identify the key trends and drivers to inform business decision making at a strategic level
- Provide support, information and guidance to inform stakeholders including scenario modelling
- Support the annual budget preparation providing key insights and challenge based on data driven analysis
- Adhoc analysis as requested by the key stakeholders including Executive and board requests
- Work with the wider FP&A team to create optimal financial models to support strategic decision making and long term forecasting
- Newly or Part Qualified (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) or QBE, several years industry experience is essential
- Strong business acumen with experience across the finance function
- Strong communication and business partnering skills, comfortable communicating to stakeholders across all levels and disciplines
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic, rapidly changing business environment
- Ability to multitask, and meet deadlines on a timely basis
- Selfstarter with a continual improvement attitude
- Creativity, flexibility and an entrepreneurial mindset to the solution of business issues
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problemsolving skills
- Strong MS Office skills, Advanced Excel is essential. BI Tool and SAP Experience are desirable
