Description

MAIN DUTIES

Responsible for cleaning kitchen, ensuring the required high standard is achieved
To maintain a clean, safe working environment and work with the catering team to ensure that targets are met
Manage the dishwasher and pot sink dishes and areas
To ensure all food, chemical and disposable stores are cleaned weekly and maintained to the required standards
To assist with food production and undertake basic food preparation duties
Ensure all hygiene standards are maintained to comply with the catering procedures
Report any faulty equipment to kitchen supervisor
Ensure all relevant Cook safe paperwork is completed on a daily basis in line with catering procedure
Store goods correctly, use stock rotation system and report any faulty equipment

Ensure all stock orders are checked for accuracy at delivery. Ensure goods are stored correctly and rotate stock in line with catering procedures

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate as a member of the unit team, offering constructive challenge, specialist advice and the highest professional standards
Undertake projects as directed by the line manager
Proactively collaborate with internal and external partners
Keep abreast of current developments relevant to the department
Actively participate in ongoing training and development activity and the Personal Development Review process
Serve on College committees, as required
Respect the confidentiality of matters relating to other members of staff

Salary:
£14,000.00-£17,000.00 per year
