Description

Are you looking to start a new career with a great company? We are looking for a Storeperson to join our team of Operations department in our Service in Uphall in Scotland.

In this role you will organise and maintain materials to optimum stock levels in full compliance with the Company operating procedures whilst ensuring that effective cost controls are applied at all times.

You will assist in the day-to-day tasks of the operations department, refurbishing and fitting out the complete range of Portakabin buildings.


Role Details

  • Salary: from £26,000 to £27,650pm depends on experience
  • Role based: Uphall in Scotland
  • Contract type: Permanent
  • Annual leave: 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays

Role Responsibilities

  • Carry out regular stock checks of all stock including furniture and 2nd hand stores.
  • Ensure materials booked out of stores are accounted for and recorded in the appropriate manner.
  • Book in deliveries, ensuring paperwork and quantities are correct. Responsible for querying delivery discrepancies directly with supplier.
  • Prepare stock pallets to support the requirements of an order/service request to ensure materials are supplied within any agreed timescales.
  • Carry out regular stock checks of all stock including furniture and 2nd hand stores.
  • Ensure materials booked out of stores are accounted for and recorded in the appropriate manner.
  • Ensure an accurate account of all stock to achieve service efficiencies in relation to fit out, refurbishment and repair requests.
  • Ensure that all plant, tools and equipment are fully compliant regarding PAT testing and H & S guidelines.
  • Assist all trades in the fitting out, refurbishment and movement of Portakabin buildings both in the yard and on customer's sites.
  • Help to ensure all yard areas including mess facilities are clean and tidy to achieve a safe working environment.
  • Be thorough in the separation and segregation of waste to meet environmental requirements.
  • Maintain tools and equipment to maximise their use and prolong life.
  • Ensure that 2nd hand fittings and materials are utilised as a priority without compromising quality.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience gained within a stock control related role,
  • Some knowledge of SAP system,
  • Administrative experience,
  • Good planning and organising skills,
  • Ability to solve problems,
  • Excellent communication and IT skills,
  • Full UK driving licence,
  • Forklift truck licence.
