The Refugee and Migrant Centre (RMC) is an established, multi award winning charity that provides a safe, welcoming environment to thousands of refugees and migrants living in the Black Country and Birmingham.
Our highly skilled and diverse staff team provide a broad range of services including advice and support on immigration (OISC regulated level 1, 2 & 3), employment, welfare, education, ESOL, housing, homelessness, destitution, citizenship, health and wellbeing.
RMC have been assisting beneficiaries to access and sustain appropriate accommodation and improve their housing and living conditions for nearly two decades.

Due to recent expansion we are looking to recruit for the following role:What you'll be doing:
Purpose and Scope of the Role
- To be the first point of contact on reception for all clients and visitors to RMC
- Taking and directing calls
- Completing administrative tasks like filing and delivering and accepting mail
- Scanning files on to the database
- Cleaning, organising, and maintaining the reception area
- Keeping basic office supplies like pens stocked and accessible to visitors
- Ordering supplies for the rest of the office
- Signing in visitors and supplying them visitor's badges and health and safety information
- Setting up meeting facilities
- Arranging for catering for meetings and daily office use
- Greeting visitors to the facility warmly and offering them help immediately
- Providing customer support
- Answering questions about products or services offered at the business
- Answering questions about office hours and who is in the office at any given time
- Interacting with other departments such as Information Technology (IT) when someone needs more technical assistance
- Scheduling appointments and meeting times
- Maintaining front door security and reporting any suspicious activity
- Putting through sales and/or assisting clients making orders
- Representing the business with a positive attitude and professional appearance
- Engaging in public relations and marketing to a minor degree
- Support the Casework Team Managers within the business with coordination of operational reports, administrative work and statistics.
- Be proficient in all aspects of IT and Office Management.
The post holder must be able to plan and prioritise a varied workload, exercising appropriate judgement and responding promptly and appropriately to all enquiries.
The post holder will be required to handle information of a confidential nature and must observe the highest standards of professionalism, discretion and confidentiality.
A DBS check will be carried out for this post.

Essential
Experience in a similar role
A proven high standard of communication skills, including written, oral, presentational and interpersonal skills
Desirable
Educated to A level or equivalent.

Experience of dealing with difficult clients/ customers
Experience of working in a busy reception area
Strong organisational skills
Excellent attention to detail
Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills

£19,500.00-£21,000.00 per year
