We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Logistics Chargehand at Hinkley Point C.


As a Logistics Chargehand you will play a key role by completing all daily briefings before work starts, and ensuring all operatives understand their daily tasks and are aware of any new hazards within their work areas.


You will be reporting to the Logistics Manager for Plant & Fleet and your main role is to supervise plant operation for MEH Logistics, putting the Plant Operators, Drivers and Traffic marshals to work safely and ensuring they are working within WAF, RAMS, DABS and HPC processes.


You will be responsible to supervise at loading/unloading areas ensuring they are safe and free from obstruction, ensure plant and vehicles are fit for purpose, maintained in clean and serviceable condition, and ensure all loads are secured correctly before transporting and that receipting paperwork is in place.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Construction experience.
  • CITB supervisor test (must be complete before start date)
  • SSSTS (must be completed before start date)
  • B category driving license.
  • Good IT skills.

Site Specific Information

  • You must be able to provide a 3year work/ unemployment/ education history and required vetting process in line with HPC protocols.
  • You must be able to obtain the HPC pass.
  • The site is located remotely and a bus journey of 45 minutes each way is required to gain access.
