Job Summary

What is the opportunity?

:


You will be joining the Global Capital Markets Financial Intelligence Unit team where you will review clients globally to determine whether there is any suspicion of financial crimes

:


You will also be responsible to provide guidance, advice and direction within policy to team members and other colleagues within functions or the business on financial crime and related issues, while maintaining a network of both internal and external peers in the industry

:


What will you do?

:

Gather information/intelligence from all available sources in order to determine whether sufficient suspicion of money laundering, financing of terrorism or other criminal activities exists, to justify making a report to the relevant Regulatory Authority

:

Plan, conduct and complete risk-based investigations into relevant matters across RBC's global Capital Markets footprint, including but not limited to those originating from

:


  • Incidents generated from transaction monitoring and media scanning, with referral to Capital Markets based on complexity or specific typology (such as terrorist financing or organized crime)
  • Intelligence received from external sources
  • Referrals from internal partners and other business Unit

Share knowledge and experience with team members to assist in their comprehensive understanding of investigations conducted by the Global CM FIU

Maintain accurate and precise records of all investigative actions and decisions taken, ensuring that all material and information obtained is treated in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements and RBC policy

Recommend SARs and STR's, to both local external jurisdictions as required in liaison with local AML staff

:

Review investigation reports and provide required feedback and / or guidance to team members in assessment of risk and recommendations

:
