Starting salary will be on the first point of Band 6 on a 3 year fixed term contract.
The NHS in Wales is offering two salaried post-graduate training programmes for high calibre engineering graduates who are passionate about science, engineering and its role in patient care.
- Rehabilitation Engineeringprovides the chance to work closely with patients; providing engineering solutions to their complex needs to enhance their mobility, posture and pressure management
Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) is the strategic workforce body for NHS Wales with statutory functions that include education and training, workforce planning, workforce development and transformation, leadership and succession planning, and careers.
We are a Special Health Authority working closely with our partners; Social Care Wales, education providers, professional and regulatory bodies and Welsh Government.

The training is aligned with the Scientific Training Programme (STP) and supported by the National School of Healthcare Science.
