Associate Director Response Group / Practice Lead Special Risks Response, Crisis & Security Consulting (CSC)

Position Overview

As part of the continued growth of Crisis24, a unique leadership opportunity has arisen in the Crisis and Security Consulting (CSC) team's Response Group.

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated senior manager to lead our Special Risks Response practice (SRR).

SRR specialises in discrete support during cases of Kidnap for Ransom and extortive crime and is trusted by some of the world's leading insurers.

The practice is a very busy and highly interesting component of CSC's Response Group - collectively the teams are activated over 250 times each year, with immediate notice consultant deployments all over the world.

In charge of an industry-leading team, the Practice leader must be of the highest calibre.

Reporting to the VP Response Group they will:

  • Be accountable for the activation and execution of Special Risks Response activities
  • Ensure appropriate case oversight
  • Further develop and execute CSC's Special Risks strategy
  • Coordinate the delivery of ongoing internal team training and our worldclass professional development program
  • Maintain all SRR related data case files and response resources
  • Manage the Response Group Duty Officer Roster
  • When relevant, deploy globally to Special Risk cases, often at short notice
  • Rotate as one of the Duty Officers, which will include periodic evenings and weekends
  • Monitor and support the timely flow of financial reporting, invoices and expenses
  • Proactively support and reinforce insurance partner relationships
  • In collaboration with CSC's management team, coordinate business development activities and delivery of programs
  • Support CSC and Crisis24 across its global business
  • Collaborate with our global GardaWorld team
Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrable experience as an active Special Risks Response Consultant and Case Manager
  • Personable and able to communicate effectively at all levels with team members and clients, with the gravitas to influence at a very senior level, including verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Able to relate well to others with confidence and empathy, build trust and be calm and resourceful during difficult and emotive situations
  • Flexibility and motivation to work irregular hours and maintain quality delivery
  • Invested in development; maintains a high level of industry knowledge and awareness of geopolitical and security/crisis management issues and trends
Work Location

  • UK (London office based) with requirement to travel nationally, internationally and on consulting/response projects for extended periods of time as may be required
