Part-time 3 days per week (based in Finchley office)

£50,000 pro rata

This is an exciting new opportunity for a senior business professional to work as Head of Services, Policies and Development for a leading training and child & adolescent psychotherapy and counselling centre.

The organisaiton provides high quality, low-costtherapeutic support to children, young people and their families presenting complex mental, emotional and behavioural issues


As Head of Services, Policies and Development you will report to the CEO and be responsible for leading on strategic growth, community engagement, service delivery and financial sustainability, as well as the development and management of policies and procedures.


Key responsibilities:

  • Overseeing and management of therapy services at the center and in school programmes
  • Overseeing psychotherapy and counselling with regard to managing outreach, delivery and client services.
  • Line management responsibility for three member of staff working in service delivery at the centre and schools
  • Owning and developing the business plan for growth of services and financial sustainability of the Centre.
  • Management of the development of a monitoring and evaluation system
  • Updating and implementing policies across the organisation to meet relevant industry standards.
  • Ongoing responsibility for developing new business and developing additional revenue streams.
  • Leading on administrative, marketing and budgeting responsibilities relating to the smooth running of services.
  • Preparing internal reporting
  • Liaising with external agencies, statutory and nonstatutory organisations and schools

Experience required:

  • Strong business skills and acumen, including a proactive strategic attitude, the ability to oversee budgets, drive profits and oversee data collection.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team, manage and motivate others.
  • Awareness of community services; children's, social care, health, public sector.
  • Experienced in updating and developing new policies and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Confident in delivering presentations in a clear, concise, and professional manner, using appropriate technology.
  • Compassion and creativity
