Description

Job description

The role of an Environmental Enforcement Officer will see you undertaking a range of different activities within the local community to address this problem.

District Enforcement work in partnership with Local Authorities and we are looking to support our current team working with Denbighshire District Council.

Officers are given designated powers and will conduct foot patrol across the Borough.

In the case of witnessing an offence such as littering or dog fouling, you will be required to issue a Fixed Penalty Notice to the offender, whilst offering advice and providing information which will hopefully result in long-term behavioural changes amongst individuals.

Officers will also carry out Duty of Care visits to local businesses.

This will entail requesting the required information from the business to comply with their disposal of waste and their waste responsibilities.

All businesses have a legal responsibility to ensure that they produce, store, transport and dispose of controlled waste without harming the environment.

About the area

Denbighshire (Welsh:
_Sir Ddinbych_; [ˌsiːr ˈðɪnbɨ̞χ]) is a county in the north-east of Wales. Its borders differ from the historic county of the same name.

This part of Wales contains the country's oldest known evidence of habitation - Pontnewydd (Bontnewydd-Llanelwy) Palaeolithic site has Neanderthal remains of some 225,000 years ago.

Castles include Denbigh, Rhuddlan, Ruthin, Castell Dinas Bran and Bodelwyddan. St Asaph, one of Britain's smallest cities, has one of its smallest Anglican cathedrals. Denbighshire is bounded by coastline to the north and hills to the east, south and west.

The River Clwyd follows a broad valley with little industry:
crops appear in the Vale of Clwyd and cattle and sheep in the uplands. The coast attracts summer visitors; hikers frequent the Clwyd
