A prestigious engineering manufacturer is looking to recruit for a Procurement Project Lead based in Hinkley on a full time permanent basis.

Role - Procurement Project Lead

Type - Permanent

Locations - Hinkley

Salary - Competitive (DOE)

Hybrid working

Key responsibilities for Procurement Project Lead and will not be limited to:

  • Support development of programme business case during pre-concept phase
  • Help define specification and scheme reviews based on available technologies with Project stakeholders
  • Support vehicle benchmarking activities
  • Develop and maintain budgets for bill of materials and investments
  • Support decision making in resource conflicts between supplier capability, timing, technology and costs for projects
  • Support ensuring supplier nominations are on time and to budget
  • Facilitate prototype sourcing to meet early build phases
  • Drive Procurement team to ensure full component availability
  • Complete and report on new model introduction planning objectives for procurement at all gateways
Key skills and experience required for Procurement Project Lead job applicant and will not be limited to:

  • Self-motivated and resilient.
  • Flexible and adaptable, analytical and logical.
  • Able to take instruction and work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, clear and concise written and verbal skills
  • Be commercially able to develop fact based problem evaluations.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills problem solving, cando attitude, selfmotivation, and be able to influence.
  • Attention to detail and having a high degree of accuracy but at the same time be able to see the "bigger picture"
  • Multitasking experience and flexibility to address immediate priorities and still manage deadlines with longerterm projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Experience within project or purchasing experience.
  • Experience with Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
