The Job


You'll be working alongside the Manufacturing and Engineering teams to ensure agreed design and configuration is implemented accurately and consistently across all systems.

To maintain system accuracy across manufacturing through the Engineering Change Request (ECR) process and New Product Implementation (NPI) process.

To identify the changes required to ERP/MES systems for both Production and Prototype builds.


What are you going to succeed wildly at?
Creating, developing and implementing processes to ensure data integrity across all systems.


Minimising processing times and errors between submission/approval/implementation by efficiently and accurately analysing, processing and tracking ECRs, from initial part releases and change requests, through the ECR process.


The Day to Day

  • Be present and immersed with Finance, Purchasing, Manufacturing and Engineering and any other supporting functions to accurately structure new products.
  • Update changes in existing BOMs ensuring that comprehensive work checks are completed.
  • Align systems to the NPI process.
  • Document product changes as part of Product Development and Continuous Improvement processes.
  • Liaise with Planning, Manufacturing, Purchasing and Business Systems depts to manage the physical implementation of new products and ensure new processes are effectively facilitated.
  • Support the Materials Controller in understanding and aligning physical and system material movement.
  • Maintain ERP master data, supporting Manufacturing, Planning, Purchasing and MRP parameters.

The essential experience and skills you're going to need

  • A proven ability in the use of ERP/MES Systems (preferably NAV, but not essential).
  • The ability to interpret Engineering BOM design and CAD drawings.
  • Competent in BOM creation and maintenance, and routing/MES data creation and maintenance.
  • PC literate, with a sound knowledge of Excel.

  • An understanding (or more) of Ex Intrinsically Safe product principles.
  • Knowledge of Standards.
  • Experience in the creation and use of product configurators.
  • Electronics knowledge and the ability the understand schematic diagrams.
