Finance Business Partner - Transformation and Projects. 6-12 month FTC. Purfleet, Essex/Hybrid

About the opportunity:

We are on a transformation mission and as a result we are expanding our team of Finance Business partners in order to create focus and provide the best possible service to our stakeholders.

This is a great time to join our brilliant Finance Team here at Carpetright, as you'll be supporting the Head of Business Partnering to provide financial, commercial, operational and analytical support to the development of our transformation journey and various interesting projects.

A little More Detail:

You'll define, produce, and deliver timely and independent key analytical reporting programmed and adhoc.
Create bespoke reporting to support decision making
Creating and maintaining strong working partnerships across the business, delivering a continuous improvement to service
Assist with the production of the annual budget
Support the production of period end and year end management accounts by producing incisive and relevant narrative
Bring external best practice knowledge to the company and motivate the team to work at a pace and deliver excellent customer service across the Group.
Assist in developing and improving processes and procedures within the areas of responsibility to improve the quality and quantity of output.
Utilise technical skills to build complex models and implement new reporting
Carry out in depth analysis to establish performance and trends

About You and Your Experience:

Qualified (preferably), or Part Qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
Advanced excel skills is a must
Skills using other analytic tools such as Alteryx
Strong experience in the same or similar role within a fastpaced retail or FMCG environment
You'll be a true Ambassador for the finance function and experienced at dealing with stakeholders at all levels
Strong systems experience, preferably including systems such as D365, BI, HFM
Experience of presenting complex data to nonfinancial audiences
Experience of working to strict deadlines
Analytical skills, with the ability to spot trends, investigate and make independent recommendations.
A really strong team player
The ability to communicate clearly and interpret data to nonfinance professionals and the wider business.

Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with enthusiasm and prioritise workload with a good attention to detail.
