As a Barclays Executive Assistant you will be supporting the Fixed Income Financing (FIF) business.

You will directly assist three members of the FIF EMEA Leadership team; MD, FIF and Money Market Sales, Head of Liquid Markets Trading EMEA and Head of Credit Trading EMEA.

In addition, you will provide general administrative support to the wider FIF team, along with other office support as needed.

This position sits within Global Markets, part of the Corporate and Investment Bank.

What will you be doing?

  • Helping the FIF EMEA Leadership team with diary management, including scheduling meetings, rooms and printing where required
  • Booking and coordinating travel arrangements for the FIF team, providing travel itinerary and meeting schedules for each trip
  • Processing invoices and expense claims for team members and ensuring all policies are followed and items are processed within provided guidelines
  • Assisting with staff onboarding and offboarding, including requesting equipment setup and system access
  • Raising and approving IT Requests, Purchase Orders, Invoices and expenses in a timely fashion, liaising with the relevant internal and external contacts
  • Working with confidential information where discretion and trust are essential
  • Maintaining a suitable process for keeping records and liaising with areas of the Barclays Group globally

What we're looking for:


  • A highly organised, confident individual with proven experience of supporting senior stakeholders
  • A professional with excellent time management skills possessing the ability to work to pressured deadlines
  • A proactive, high attention to detail person with the ability to think ahead and anticipate obstacles and proactively think of solutions
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written and an excellent team player who is adaptable, flexible, resilient and approachable

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Experience working within a bank or another matrix organisation
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders
  • Good understanding of Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel

In the heart of Canary Wharf, our headquarters at Churchill Place boasts onsite amenities such as; a gym, staff restaurant and deli bar, and is easily accessible by tube and bus links.
