Description

Gold Community Partnership ( Gold Surestart) is a government funded initiative specifically for families with children under 4 years who live in identified ward areas in Mid Ulster Council District.

The Project has as a range of early intervention support services delivered by a multi-disciplinary staff team designed to support parenting and provide positive play experiences for children.

Gold Surestart also delivers a number of Surestart Developmental Programmes for 2-3-Year-Old children across our sites.


We are recruiting for a Project Worker 2/Health Support Worker to support families across our project with a focus on Antenatal, Early Post Natal and Breastfeeding Support.
Essential Criteria

  • NVQ3 in Childcare and Education or other relevant third level qualification
  • Experience of direct work with children, young people and families, aged 0
  • Demonstrable experience in accurate and clear record case notes deploying the necessary standard of report writing
  • Must have a full UK driving licence and access to a car or able to demonstrate an alternative means of meeting the mobility requirements of the post
  • Experience of delivering group based parenting programmes
  • Demonstrable experience in use of ICT packages through work experience.
  • Paid experience in supervising staff or volunteers.
Desirable

  • Experience of using Family Star or other Outcomes Assessments/Measurement Tools.
  • Experience of delivering Antenatal, Early Post Natal or Breastfeeding Support


As the work will include travel across a large service delivery area, the post holder must have access to a car.

A full driving licence and appropriate business insurance are also essential, and evidence of these documents will be required if appointed.

As driving is an intrinsic part of this role, applicants with a disability that prevents them from driving should be able to demonstrate an alternative means of meeting the mobility requirements of the post.

Salary:
£27,300 - £37,960 FTE to be paid pro rata for part time working


Post available: 1 x 20 hrs per week - Monday - Friday
