Institutional Credit Management's ("ICM") objective is to provide an integrated "end-to-end" credit underwriting, identification, measurement, management, monitoring and reporting for wholesale credit businesses across the enterprise.

Institutional ClientGroup ( ICG ) In-Business Quality Assurance is an integral part of the ICM organization.
The ICG In-Business Quality Assurance function (QA) verifies that established standards and processes are followed and consistently applied.

ICG Management uses the results of the quality assurance reviews to assess the quality of the group's policies, procedures,programs, and practices as relates to the management of wholesale credit risk.

The results help management identify operational weaknesses, risks associated with the function, training needs, and process deficiencies.
This role reports directly to the ICM In-Business Quality Assurance Practices Director.


Key responsibilities:


  • The overall objective of this role is to assist senior leadership to define and implement QAR procedures to provide reasonable assurance to various stakeholders that the IBQA function:
  • Performs in accordance with IBQA standards and operating procedures
  • Is perceived by those stakeholders as adding value and improving conformance with WCR standards and processes across the first line of defence
  • Assist in the development and implementation of guidance and tools, that form the basis for rigorous, comprehensive IBQA processes including establishing performance metrics, to contribute to the buildout of a bestinclass IBQA function
  • Help manage WCR IBQA policies, procedures, risk assessment and controls, bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to drive effective QA coverage and standards. Help promote knowledge sharing and innovation; promulgate best practices across IBQA.
  • Assist the overall effort of ongoing and periodic assessment of IBQA practices with aim of continuous and timely improvement of technology, processes, and procedures with consideration of:
  • Lessons learned from selective peer reviews of work papers by staff not involved in the respective QAR
  • Analyses of established performance metrics and trend analyses
  • Feedback from IBQA staff and key business stakeholders, where relevant
  • Support the Quality Assurance Practice Team in producing reports, identifying, and escalating issues by the accurate, precise, and consistent tracking of key performance indicators, across sites, portfolios, and teams
  • Support the Global Head of WCR IBQA on internal projects and initiatives
  • Support WCR IBQA Voice of the Employee (VOE) as well as diversity and inclusion initiatives
  • Travel (less than 10%)

Skills/Competencies:

Knowledge:


  • Demonstrable quantitative and data gathering experience including, relevant number of years of reporting functions, issue identification and report, and/or quality assurance and quality control
  • Understanding of risk management and control frameworks obtained through experience in large financial organizations.
  • Understanding of QA policies and procedures and ability to help execute change seamlessly.
  • Grasp of issues identification, documentation, and remediation within the Quality Assurance process.
  • Experience in preparing presentations for seniors
  • Solid ability to produce complex reports both timely and accurately
  • Full awareness and adherence to the control environment including Quality Assurance and Quality Control

Competencies:


  • Evolving interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and exert influence with and without direct authority
  • Organizational skills with ability and willingness to work under pressure and manages time and priorities effectively
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely to audiences of varying levels of seniority
  • Experience in preparing presentations for seniors
