Payroll Administrator:


We have a great opportunity for a Payroll Administrator to join our friendly and supportive HR team on a one year fixed term contract, covering maternity leave.

You will possess either a recognised payroll qualification or the equivalent work experience in a similar role.


You will be required to assist our other Payroll Administrator and Payroll Manager and have responsibility for new starters, leavers, contract and pension changes, expense payments and RTI.

If you have public sector pensions administration experience, that would be desirable but not essential.

Our HR team comprises of Operations where this role will sit, Business Partnering and Organisational Design. The Operations team features payroll, transactional HR, systems and information/reporting.

You will be required to provide a professional payroll service and assist staff and key stakeholders with a variety of payroll related matters.

You will assist with monthly payroll related tasks within specific timeframes and have good attention to detail, be a real team player who is happy to get involved in any task to support the wider team as required.


You will be required to produce reports from the payroll system for third parties including pension services & HMRC and possess a good working knowledge of current payroll legislation including PAYE, NI, statutory payments, expenses and auto enrolment.


You will need good Microsoft skills including Word, Excel with an ability to present data in forms, tables and spreadsheets.
