The Medical Devices Lead will:
Lead in the management of medical, scientific and laboratory equipment within the Acute Pathway and Critical Care areas, working with the provider(s) of medical equipment maintenance.
Overall responsibility for equipment maintenance ensuring high standards to include decontamination and service/ repair in an appropriate time frame Lead for fleet management, end of life notice and fleet replacement planning.
Provide recommendations for replacement making use of complex data for analysis and giving consideration to a range options when determining appropriate devices for replacement To lead the education and induction of new staff in all aspects of equipment usage and safety, i.e.
setting alarms, troubleshooting, general care and maintenance To assist lead for education to put in place systems and processes to monitor the education and training of staff to ensure they have a training programme to meet their development needs and achieve their required competencies.
