A fantastic and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced SEND Tribunal Lead to take up an interim contract as a Senior Tribunal Officer for Oxfordshire County Council.


The role will be on a fully remote working basis for a period of 3-6 months with a view to being extended on an ongoing basis.

The key aspects of the role are outlined below:

  • Ensure that all Tribunal processes are completed in the timeframes set out in the guidance and legislation
  • Support the Resolutions & Compliance Lead Officer to ensure that the strategic aims for children and young people with special educational needs are met within the legislative frameworks.
  • To take lead responsibility for advising parents, schools, colleges and providers in implementing SEND decisions, managing expectations, issues and arising disputes on these decisions.
  • To lead and manage the Tribunal process for all cases from 0 up to age 25 to ensure that all deadline dates are met and that all case preparation is in line with Tribunal rules.
