The Role


To support the Shared Service Centre and the SSC Leadership team to ensure an effective two-way flow of communication and information between senior management and the SSC teams.

Provide support to the Business Delivery Manager in managing SSC budgets, diary management, resourcing, and all business delivery functions.


Core Accountabilities

  • Maintain resource records for the Shared Service Centre including;
  • Providing an efficient recruitment pipeline, from the scheduling of Assessment Centres, arranging interviews and completing the onboarding process
  • Support the annual casual worker recruitment process
  • Coordinate the flow of information from senior management into the teams, and the flow from the SSC to other CAA and external stakeholders including;
  • Health and Safety issues
  • Business Change activities
  • Success Factors alignment/coordination structures updates
  • Online eLearning module completion focal point
  • Play a pivotal role in SSC engagement and comms activities
  • Involvement in small projects within the SSC, including but not limited to management of audit activity and the Business Continuity Plan
  • Coordinate small change project work as required within the SSC
  • Develop and maintain an SSC Project register to provide management with visibility of all project activity involving the SSC, resources, progress, and timescales
  • Support SSC Procurement activities
  • SSC Desk / floor plan maintain floor plan / desk allocation record for department and coordinate change activity through liaison with Estate Services as required
  • SSC Training information, support analysis and feedback for items managed in SSC SharePoint site as directed by SSC Management
  • Analysis of SSC team performance data to support appropriate Senior Shared Service Centre management action

About You

To be considered for role you must have:

  • Effective planning, organisational, and time management skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fastpaced environment to support operational requirements within short timescales
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision, will need to be able to use their own initiative and set own deadlines
  • Able to collect data and inputs from others and create summary information to help inform decision making
  • Good interpersonal skills, including an ability to adapt appropriately to deal with people at all levels within the CAA
  • Good verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office products
  • Knowledge of CAA business support, administration, financial, charging, and budgeting procedures
  • Able to think ahead to establish an efficient and appropriate course of action. Able to prioritise and plan activities
  • Interview training and case study support will be helpful

Additional Information
For many appointments within the CAA, these roles require access to operationally sensitive infrastructure and/or Nationally Protected information. For these roles the post holders must undergo National Security Vetting and achieve the appropriate level of clearance.


To be vetted you must have the right to work in the UK so that meaningful checks can be undertaken.
