As the Accounts Assistant you would be assisting the Group Finance team in monthly reporting, ongoing projects and supporting wider group with their accounting requirements.


Client Details
The client is based in Bridgend and is not readily accessible by Public transport. The client is hosted on a busy site and manufacturing is at the heart of the company.

They are growing their product lines and are at the fore front of innovation as a marketleader in their field.


Description
As the Accounts Assistant you will be involved in:

  • Oversee the credit control functions
  • Ensuring company procedures are followed in line with job role
  • Resolve customer invoice queries
  • Review purchase ledger payment runs for supplier statement reconciliation and appropriate management sign off
  • Month end tasks including Journals and BS Recs
  • Review aged debtors with Head of Finance on a weekly basis
  • Maintain the customer database, credit limits and insurance
  • Preparation of all payments (to include BACS, CHAPS and manual cheques) and posting of payment entries to the Nominal Ledger
  • Production of weekly cash flow report (3 month rolling forecast) for the UK to include cooperation with PL staff to ensure on time completion to review stage with Head of Finance
  • Completing information required by the National Statistics Office
  • Preparation and submission of the quarterly UK company VAT returns
  • Ad Hoc requests to support Head of Finance and the overall business.

Profile

  • Have previously worked in finance, PQ or AAT Qualified
  • Have intermediate excel skills
