ESG Policy Advisor


Salary:
National ranging from £49,700 to £60,000 and London from £53,300 to £65,000

The team/department

You'll have the opportunity to drive forward challenging and stimulating FCA ESG policy projects. You'll develop and work with a deep network of stakeholders and promote the FCA's work externally.


This is a high profile, exciting and satisfying opportunity that would suit an individual with policymaking or problem-solving experience and ideally strong ESG knowledge, that is keen to get involved with the FCA's ESG work.

What you will be doing (the role)

Drive forward and support ESG policy projects, including FCA's work in the market for data and ratings and sustainable disclosure requirement as well as cross-cutting work

Work on related projects across the wider FCA ESG Division, and FCA more broadly

Build and maintain strong working relationships with external stakeholders, the wider FCA ESG Division and the FCA more broadly to ensure coordinated and timely implementation of projects

Act as a knowledge resource for ESG matters, providing advice and support to the team, wider division and FCA

The skills and experience you will have

Minimum

Proven experience in public policymaking, or problem-solving

Evidence of strong written communication skills

Demonstrable evidence of developing and managing stakeholder relationships

Essential

Good understanding of, or willingness to learn about, FCA decision-making and policy processes, and the willingness to deliver high-profile projects within the FCA

Ability to coordinate inputs from a wide network of colleagues on policy projects

Work collaboratively on cross-organisational projects and maintain effective relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders

Flexibility and commitment to the role, including the ability to work well under pressure, and sometimes to short deadlines
