Description

This role involves investigating and progressing credit hire and damage claims in an appropriate and timely manner ensuring that cost control is proactively managed within your claims licence maximising opportunities to control indemnity spend.


Ensuring Customers and Third Parties/Claimants are supported throughout the claims journey, using agreed claims processes, case laws and strategies as defined.


You will make enquiries and pro-actively liaise with internal and external suppliers as well as claimant firms to ensure that the claim is controlled throughout the lifecycle whilst ensuring the right solution is deployed throughout.


You will deliver claims settlement within targeted timescales, dealing with customers and claimants and/or their representatives you will also work with other colleagues and be part of a team.


Responsibilities:


  • Handling allocated cases, proactively investigate and control financial risks avoiding leakage and delays, and achieve best settlement, within your claims licence, in line with established standards, procedures and guidance provided
  • Responding to customer queries and following agreed processes, policies and procedures to ensure customer service and satisfaction standards are consistently achieved and support the delivery of defined KPIs and SLA.
  • Referring claims falling outside limits of personal authority to others promptly, in line with agreed referral process
  • Assessing claims against relevant criteria and experience to identify actual or potential issues and involving others as appropriate to minimise leakage and protect the interests of the business
  • Complying with the required standards of RSA excellence and best practice, operating effectiveness and Group, legal and regulatory requirements.

Skills and Knowledge Required for this Role:

  • Previous Credit Hire experience required
  • Previous experience within the Insurance Industry
  • Good negotiation and persuasion skills
  • Ability to problem solve, plan, organise and prioritise

Salary:
Up to £24,000.00 per year
