Description

The Role:

This role within the Company will entail the verification & quality of incoming, outgoing & internally manufactured products. That these products are in accordance with customer requirements, accrediting bodies requirements & internal Norco processes & procedures.


The Quality Inspector will also need to have integrity, excellent communication ability and solid attention to detail, while being happy to adapt and work with production to ensure Quality requirements are met in a timely manner.


Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Visually Inspection of composite parts to customer and Norco standards
  • FaroArm dimensional inspection of composite tooling and parts.
  • Dimensional Inspection using traditional metrology tools and gauges (Calipers, Height Gauges etc )
  • Review of oven & autoclave cure data for compliance.
  • Document nonconformance occurrences in accordance with Norco procedures and processes.
  • Assist the Nonconformity review process with initial investigation.
  • Provide feedback to Quality & Production team on quality of product and highlight opportunities for improvement.
  • Goods inwards inspection of parts and materials to ensure compliance with Customer Requirements & Norco processes and procedures.
  • Review of inprocess documentation to ensure compliance to Customer & Norco processes & procedures.
  • Review of completed manufacturing documentation prior to product delivery.

Desirable Experience & Qualifications:


  • Practical experience with FaroArm CMM equipment or similar system.
  • Worked in a similar position in a composite component manufacturing environment.
  • Robust experience in prepreg, infusion processes for composite materials.
  • Knowledge working to ISO 9001/ AS9100 quality management systems.
  • Understanding and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Willingness to adapt under pressure to ensure Quality requirements are met in a timely manner.
  • Excellent Soft skill e.g. Communication, Adaptability, Critical Thinking etc
- (Preferable) Understanding with working to ASME Y14.5.

£32,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
