Foreman

Project:
A30- Sparkford to Ilchester


Purpose of the role


As Foreman you will provide support to the General Foreman in ensuring works are completed safely, within programme and to the highest quality standards.


Key Accountabilities

You will;

  • Participate in creating a knowingly safe working environment.
  • Ensure Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) and Permit to Work systems are in place before work commences.
  • Assist in the preparation of RAMS, COSHH assessments and safety plans as required.
  • Effective liaison and communication with site teams and subcontractors.
  • Deliver 10minute briefings as necessary.
  • Ensure subcontractors deliver work to meet safety, quality and programme requirements.
  • Supervise subcontractors to ensure quality and "right firsttime approach".
  • Ensure subcontractors are conforming to their own check sheets.
  • Record and update site diaries.

Competency requirements

  • Ability to work safely.
  • Able to communicate effectively with site team and subcontractors.
  • Execution of construction work in line with ITP's, quality standards and safety documentation.
  • Confident to deliver safety briefings.

Technical qualifications requirements

  • General Civil Engineering experience.
  • SSSTS
  • CSCS
  • Office 365 expertise
  • TWS (preferred)
  • 1st Aid (preferred)
