Description

Taylor Blackwood Associates are now recruiting a metal worker for our client in Walsall.

Duties:

Assemble and fabricate metal components based on blueprints and specifications
Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure accuracy
Operate cranes and other equipment to move and position metal materials
Utilize hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and weld metal pieces
Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and other technical documents
Perform quality checks to ensure finished products meet specifications
Maintain a clean and organized work area

Experience:

Previous experience in metalworking or a related field is preferred
Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and blueprint reading is required
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for metal fabrication
Knowledge of different types of metals, alloys, and their properties
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
