Service Coordinator

An opportunity has arisen for a Service Coordinator, to join a leading supplier based in Newtownabbey.
This is a full-time, permanent position

Working hours: 37 hours Monday to Thursday 08:30 - 17:00 with a 30-minute lunch break

Friday 08:30 - 14:00 with a 30-minute lunch break

With a salary of £23,000 - £25,000 per annum


Job Purpose:


You will be responsible for co-ordinating the diary and all works associated with third party site service provision in support of Lead Engineer and General Manager with daily support to be provided with and to the wider team.


Essential Criteria:


  • Demonstrable previous experience within a similar role (2 years+ experience)
  • SAP experience is a distinct advantage
  • Health & Safety qualification preferable
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload while adhering to tight deadlines
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels
  • Willingness to work additional hours

Main Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Assist the team in answering all inbound phone calls providing excellent customer service and support
  • Plan service schedule work for 4 service engineers including the diarizing and production of necessary paperwork to attend third party breakdowns and maintenance visits
  • Act as liaison between the service engineers and customers focussing on remedial works identified postservice
  • Act as direct contact with/to suppliers in reference to material sourcing required for field and inhouse servicerelated work maintaining proactive communication
  • Provide quotations, input, process, and complete service jobs ensuring good communication throughout the life cycle of the job
  • Supporting review of service provision and developing improvement strategies alongside colleagues
  • Plan and monitor engineer's progress on specific jobs, process their timesheets, and prepare accurate efficiency/invoicing reports for corporate on a weekly basis
  • Work with internal marketing to provide exciting content to help promote and develop our products and services
  • Provide backup cover to other key positions in the business to ensure daily continuity in the event of absence, holidays, etc
  • Adherence to all legal requirements, to the Company Quality and Environmental Management Systems (QMS/EMS), the H & S policy and it's procedures and actively participate in continuous health and safety compliance / improvement activities
  • Any other duties that are required
