We have an exception role for you, in the position ofPurchasing Coordinator
Our
Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for making sure the inventory area is managed properly. The purchasing department is responsible for providing day to day support to our internal stakeholders within our corporate head office and facilities. The Coordinator has to make sure stock levels are accurate at all times, making sure replenishment of stock is done in a timely manner and orders are placed to the suppliers on time.
You will have the Opportunity to:
- Create a collaborative working relationship with all stakeholders
- Manage inventories and place purchase orders on time.
- Keep exceptions to the minimum and finding root cause of issues.
- Run daily, weekly, monthly reports and publish the results internally.
- Perform monthly, quarterly and annual stock audits and cycle counts.
- Cover the Purchasing Supervisor when on annual leave or due to sickness.
- Comply with all procedures and working manuals.
- Detect stock levels which may cause problems and ensure adequate action is being taken by the team.
- Liaise with accounts department to clear invoices on hold.
- Manage/Report lost charges.
- Monitor/resolve and process issues regarding purchase orders.
- Liaise with Suppliers/Reps on site as and when necessary.
- Carry out duties as directed and from time to time by the Purchasing Supervisor
Ideally, we are looking for someone who has;
- Educated to a Degree level (Desirable)
- Experience of working within a purchasing environment
- Team player and excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proficient in Excel and analytics, with proven problemsolving skills.
- Proficient general IT skills (MS Office Suite)
- Good attention to detail
- Knowledge of working in Meditech software will be an advantage.
- Proactive in handling difficult situations.
- Ability to prioritise and multi task in a demanding environment.
