Cleveland Clinic London are looking to recruit a Healthcare Assistant to join our Cardio Thoracic and Digestive Diseases team with a competitive salary range on offer, up to £28,000.

What are we looking for?

Cleveland Clinic London are looking to recruit a Healthcare Assistant to join Cardio Thoracic and Digestive Diseases team


The Acute Care Ward involves Interventional Cardiology, Cardiothoracic surgery with some vascular as well as cardiac/medical conditions, also digestive diseases including liver and robotics and other specialties that require continuous monitoring and treatment.


The Healthcare Assistant will primarily be involved in assisting nursing caregivers and providing direct patient care, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients and always working in a manner that promotes privacy and dignity.

Role information


This is a full time/part time, permanent position would require the post holder to work up to 37.5 hours per week.

This is a Monday-Sunday, Days/Nights/Weekends role with the following shift patterns:
Monday to Sunday Long Days

Monday to Sunday Nights

Bank Holidays &


The maximum salary on offer for this opportunity would be £28,000 and would be dependent upon experience and competencies against the role requirements.


What will your duties include:

  • Responsible for providing basic nursing care to patients under the directions and supervision of trained nursing caregiver
  • Developing competence in carrying out basic observations and recording results
  • Be aware of Universal Precautions, basic Infection Control Procedures and Sharps Safety Procedures.
  • Participating effectively at the Quality improvements initiatives for the ward ensures that the Ward KPI's are achieved and are aligned with CCL quality standard
  • Ensuring a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors following the guidelines of risk management. Proactively reporting incidents, risks and/or failings taking responsibility to minimise these

What we need from you:

  • To be NVQ L3 in Health & Social Care or a Care Certificate
  • Demonstrable clinical experience in or similar setting
  • Track record of achievement of objectives in present and past jobs in the clinical field.
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Wide range of experience working in acute care including cardiac and Cardio Thoracic, Renal and GI surgery. (Desirable)
