As an authority we want to make Hartlepool the best it possibly can be and want dedicated, motivated staff to help us achieve that.

We are seeking a family support worker who is enthusiastic to undertake a wide range of responsibilities.

You will need high quality written and verbal communication skills, be able to demonstrate resilience and flexibility and have good observation and assessment skills.

You should have experience of direct work with young people and families and be able to work purposefully under pressure.

The ability to prioritise and work both independently and as part of a team is essential to this role, as well as building and maintaining relationships with partner agencies and service users.


There will be a requirement to achieve objectives and specific targets at key periods, ensuring that these are consistent with overall strategic expectations.

The successful applicant must be creative and have an enthusiastic approach to supporting young people.

Focusing on young people in Hartlepool who are leaving mainstream education into 16 provision who live with mental, physical and social issues.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable young adults. The successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
