Two exciting opportunities have arisen in Nottingham University Hospitals for two new posts leading on the Information Governance agenda, one post in Corporate HR, and one shared between the Clinical Divisions of Surgery and Cancer and Associated Specialities (CAS).

Are you passionate about information governance and the processes around protecting sensitive data and information?


Duties will include driving forward and embedding a culture of excellence around information governance, data protection and privacy of staff and patient records.


You will have good attention to detail around corporate records management, recording and mapping data flows and being an approachable leader to embed this good practice.

Main duties of the job:

To be a visible leader for HR on Information Governance (IG), Information Security, Privacy and Information Flows.


To lead on gathering, creating and maintaining the information around data flows, assets and contracts on Corestream, the Trust's Information Governance system.


To be a single point of contact in providing technical expertise around Information Governance and Security to colleagues at all levels of the service.

  • Relevant experience of working in an NHS or public sector organisation or equivalent
  • Postgraduate Qualification or relevant experience

Desirable criteria:


  • Qualification or relevant experience in Information Governance

Experience:


Essential criteria:


  • Experience in the development and delivery of training materials
  • Implementing policies and procedures
  • Process Mapping

Desirable criteria:


  • NHS experience

Skills:


Essential criteria:


  • Able to manage time and priorities appropriately, progressing and completing several activities at the same time
  • Good working knowledge of information risk analysis/management
  • Data Protection, Freedom of Information and computerrelated legislation

Desirable criteria:


  • Experience with NHS Information, Governance and Data.

Communication Skills:


Essential criteria:


  • Capable of communicating effectively on IT issues with both technical and nontechnical staff
  • Tenacious and able to inspire and influence colleagues at all levels to drive forward improvement in Information Governance processes

The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
