School IT Support Technician

Uxbridge

Up to £33,000 per annum + Benefits

MUST HAVE PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WORKING WITHIN I.T. IN AN EDUCATIONAL SETTING

Microsoft operating systems, Windows server, Anti - virus, WAN, Cisco, Software licences, School, IT, Technician.


A Managed Service Provider that works within the educational sector are now looking for a School IT Support Technician to work across designated schools around the Uxbridge area maintaining and troubleshooting their IT systems and networks.

The IT Support Technician will need to be DBS checked to work across the different school sites.

As the successful IT support technician, you will need to have knowledge in Windows operating systems and how they work in a local area network environment.


Key Skills:


  • Windows Operating Systems 10/8/
  • Ability to explain technical terms and situations to nontechnical people
  • Experience of maintaining and working with WAN connection
  • Full UK clean driving license
  • Cisco networking technologies switches, routers
  • Working knowledge of LGfL Systems
  • Back ups
  • Software licences
  • Antivirus tools


You will be responsible for providing IT support for multiple schools, with the school you are assigned being your main place of work.

The schedule of this position will also vary, so the IT Support Technician can expect to visit up to 4/5 schools a week.

The other day you will have the opportunity to shadow 3rd line engineers and learn new technologies.
