Primrose House is a large, double-fronted, detached house providing accommodation on two floors to 4 children & young people they are now seeking a Children's Team Leader.

Requirements of a Children's Team Leader

  • Have experience working in a children's home or care setting as a
Team Leader.

  • Ability to lead and coordinate staff
  • Ability to work on a rota system including sleepins, early, days, evenings, bank holidays, and weekend work.
  • To have a flexible approach to working hours, to ensure the needs of the home and its children, colleagues, and organization are met
  • Ability to physically intervene if a child's behavior is dangerous to themselves or others.
  • A full driving license is required.
  • To hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, or equivalent is a requirement for this role.
  • Previous experience of working with young people.

Responsibilities of a Team Leader

  • Ensure children are safeguarded and their views and wishes heard
  • Motivate and engage young people in group activities.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with the young people in our care.
  • Ability to facilitate the young person's recreational needs, and daily independent living skills and promote their emotional wellbeing.
  • Maintained written records, write reports, and keep cash records.

From £11.50 per hour


Experience:

- providing care: 2 years (preferred)
Senior Care: 2 years (preferred)
- working in Residential for children: 1 year (preferred)


Licence/Certification:

  • NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care (preferred)
  • NVQ Level 3 on Residential Childcare (preferred)
  • Driving Licence (preferred)
