Hull (HU6 7PH) -
The position is a permanent full-time role, days Monday-Friday based at the Hull site.

The position holder will motivate, inspire, and engage others to work towards common safety practices and help to measure key EHS goals.

The position holder will be self-motivated, working with guidance from the EHS manager collaborating closely with operatives to reinforce and influence Cargill's zero harm culture.


Key Accountabilities:


  • In close cooperation with the EHS Manager, take responsibility for topics working towards executing the action plan for EHS improvement, providing progress reports to internal and external stakeholders
  • Support all UK legal and Cargill policies related to EHS and promote a culture of good EHS practice
  • Provide day to day support on EHS issues and concerns
  • Attend daily production meetings and escalate any EHS issues to the responsible team member
  • Maintain policy and procedural compliance and review existing documentation
  • In the event of an accident / incident, support investigations using techniques such as Root Cause Analysis and 5Why's and see the investigations through to completion
  • Support the planning, preparation and execution of scheduled plant maintenance shutdowns and projects
  • Compile information and data from the EHS systems and ensure this is accurate and relevant
  • Create and update training materials and deliver these for new Cargill and contractor staff
  • Develop and support Safety Campaigns and Safety Days, ensuring an engaged and educated workforce
  • Maintain an effective EHS management and SharePoint system
  • Other Environmental, Health and Safety related tasks as assigned

Qualifications:


Minimum Qualifications

  • NEBOSH General Certificate, or equivalent, or demonstrated practical EHS experience.

Preferred qualifications

  • The ability to solve problems and make decisions in a timely manner and independently
  • Able to train and engage colleagues on EHS topics
