This role holder will have several areas of direct responsibility, usually defined projects or ongoing management activities when a proposition is 'in-life'.

The role holder is responsible for working closely with the rest of the 7IM team to absorb informationand share knowledge, to ensure that work across the business impacting 7IM propositions, is done in alignment with 7IM's strategic plan.

The role is both outward looking, working closely with 7IM clients and inward-looking, working closely with the client-facing, IT, Change and Operations teams, as well as the other CX teams.


Responsibilities:


  • Feeding the Platform proposition roadmap into internal and external communication channels through coordination with the Sales and Marketing teams
  • Documenting proposed propositional changes, supported by appropriate analysis and a robust business case
  • Coordinating input to the above from other parts of the business, including Client Experience, Change Management, Compliance, Finance, IT and Operations
  • Working with each relevant sales and servicing team to understand client feedback on the proposition, and working on efficient resolution of issues
  • Completing research and analysis and publishing to an internal audience with a written commentary on the marketplace, and 7IM's position within it
  • Keeping abreast of regulatory changes to understand the impact on our proposition
  • Working in the 7IM platform development programme team as a leader, to support a prioritised proposition roadmap that fits into the wider change management programme
  • Conducting an at least annual review of 7IM platform pricing, reporting findings to the Product Governance & Pricing Committee
  • Acting as an SME for product governance matters relating to the Platform's role as a distributor of funds including attending Product Governance & Pricing Committee when required
  • Conducting quarterly distribution reviews for submission to Product Governance & Pricing Committee
  • Providing target market reporting to manufacturers when requested
  • Define, roll out and own all the Platform integration solutions with 3rd party software providers
  • Work alongside support teams to provide technical and relationship management support for all platform integrations
  • Create analytics and insights for each integration and report to key stakeholders and 3rd party providers
  • Develop future integration proposals and business cases working collaboratively with Digital Product Managers, Proposition Managers, and the technical teams
  • Own vendor management for 3rd parties providers linked to platform integrations from RFIs, contracts, and service agreements through to inlife management including issue resolution and contract/service management
  • Acting as an exemplar of the 7IM VPVPs, and our own team purpose statement
  • Other, as reasonably required by your line manager and 7IM.

Skills & Experience:


  • Proven track record of working with a clientfocused proposition management methodology
  • Proven track record of working within a change control and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Ability to break down proposition proposals for nonproposition teams e.g., the business analysis team
  • Ability to articulate potential solutions to meet client needs and ensure good customer outcomes
  • Ability to develop solid business cases gaining the relevant stakeholder input and approvals
  • Attention to detail
  • Committed team player with excellent negotiating skills; applied at all levels
  • Desire to promote fresh ideas to all levels of management and be confident when challenged
  • Strong project management and organisational skills
  • Excellent communications skills including reportwriting, presentationbuilding and public speaking
  • Excellent critical thinking and problemsolving mindset
  • Ability to work well within crossfunctional teams internally and with external suppliers

Knowledge:


  • Indepth understanding of the Financial Advice process and market in the UK
  • Excellent understanding of UK Financial Services regulatory environment
  • Knowledge of the latest technology and digital trends for the Advisory market in the UK
  • Understanding of competitors' platform/advice propositions
  • Experience of retail investments and investment management (including operational knowledge) would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of the directtoconsumer market especially in the High-NetWorth space would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of discretionary management services would be advantageous.

Qualifications:


  • Completion of a Product Management/Service Design or similar course is desirable.

Other relevant information:


  • Reports to the Head of Strategy and Proposition
  • Travel to the 7IM Edinburgh office and to 7IM client offices will be required.
