4 week placement, full time

Based in Liverpool

Job Purpose

To aid with the smooth running of the costume department by helping with the general maintenance such as washing, ironing and tidying.

The tasks will vary depending on the production requirements. A successful trainee will get the opportunity to work with the whole costume team, artistes and background artistes.

The role will include the following:

Washing character clothing
Ironing when necessary
Putting costumes away behind respective characters wardrobe
Tidying costume rails and shoe boxes ready for next shoot
Helping costume supervisor to collect costumes to and from the characters changing room
Helping keep actors warm and dry on set using umbrellas, hot water bottles and warm coats.

We would aim to give you the opportunity to observe and learn the following:

How a television production works and how costume department contributes to overall series production
Observe and learn onset etiquette
Learn onset costume protocols and identify what costume checks are required before and during a scene.
How to keep accurate costume continuity on set, along with recording and interpreting this information.

No previous experience or qualification necessary as all training will be provided, so it's a great opportunity to earn as you learn.

Individuals who can themselves sense check their work and understand the direct impact of their work or actions.
