Job Introduction The West Midlands Combined Authority's Environment Team is seeking a motivated intern to join our team and contribute to a significant air quality project.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to explore a career in the environment or the communications sector, all while playing a key role in supporting a £1 million government funded project that will reach thousands of residents across the West Midlands.
What will you be doing?
- Create engaging content for the WMCA's new air quality website, ensuring clear and effective communication for a broad audience.
- Support the planning and delivery of air quality awareness raising events.
- Provide administrative support for the Air Quality Literacy training course and sensor network development.
- Assist in developing a Youth COP conference focused on climate policy engagement for young people.
- Participate in team meetings and provide regular progress updates.
About You.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with prior experience of creating communications material through study or work experience.
- A collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Creativity and a knack for presenting information in a clear and concise manner.
- Educated to GCSE Level or equivalent.

This is agreed between an employee and their line manager, considering the business, team, and employee needs.
The location for this role is 16 Summer Lane.
It is expected that you can split your time between the office and working remotely, with at least 1-2 days a week spent in the office.
