As the Payroll Assistant you will be responsible for processing employee's paychecks by collecting their data and time-sheets.


Client Details
My lovely client is looking for a Payroll Assistant to come and help out on a temporary basis working part time; 16hrs per week - Offering a FULLY remote position apart from 1 day that you would have to visit the Ashington site in Northumberland to pickup equipment and meet the team


Description
Key responsibilities of the Payroll Assistant;

  • Process all monthly Payroll
  • Make sure all adjustments are processed (maternity/paternity/sickness)
  • Process and prepare monthly deductions
  • Respond to employee queries regarding salaries & ensure all queries received into the team are resolved in a timely manner
  • Generate and post monthly Payroll journals
  • Provide outstanding customer service

Profile
Successful Payroll Assistant;

  • Have worked in Payroll before
  • Be familiar with Payroll processes
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and act on own initiative
  • Experience of working in a busy finance department
  • Ability to set and manage priorities

Job Offer
