We're looking for a Talent Acquisition Advisor to join the team here at Derby City Council.


This newly-created position will play a key role in proactively identifying and attracting great talent to help our organisation continue to deliver first-class services to the people of Derby.


You'll be supporting Managers across all of our service areas - but with a particular focus on social care - throughout the full lifecycle of the recruitment process, meaning you'll get great exposure to a variety of roles and seniority levels whilst helping to create and deliver wide-ranging, innovative recruitment campaigns.

The Opportunity
In the role of Talent Acquisition Advisor, here's an example of what you'll be doing to make an impact:

  • Partnering with recruiting managers to build forward-looking recruiting strategies for individual roles or multiple roles as part of a campaign
  • Advise and coach managers on recruiting best practice and provide support at interviews, assessments and recruitment fairs
  • Develop, maintain and attend a calendar of recruitment fairs for the council to attend
  • Building great relationships with recruiting managers from across the organisation to champion the Recruitment Team's offering
  • Providing statistical data and analysis on recruitment performance and campaigns to the Recruitment Manager
  • Supporting the wider Recruitment Team with the daytoday operation of the function

About You
To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have...

  • Experience in a dedicated recruitment role, either internally or in agency
  • Previous experience of leading a talent acquisition project
  • Excellent sales and communication skills
  • GCSE Maths and English (grade C or equivalent)
