Leeds who are recruiting for an experienced P
ayroll Specialist. This
full-time role offers a
hybrid working environment and
flexible working.
They are looking for someone with extensive knowledge and understanding of statutory payroll and benefit procedures. You will assist in the training and supervision of new staff where appropriate. The role is
35 hours per week with
flexible working hours between
8am - 4pm or
9am - 5pm.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Coordinating administration practices and processes for payroll related schemes and the production of all payroll, expenses, fees and benefits procedures
- Requisitions and pay procedures relating to staff (e.g. new appointments, terminations, pay awards, expenses and absence), and processing of all HMRC interfaces
- Accurately recording and producing management information and business intelligence reports
- Providing and contributing to the development of a consistent, high quality service, through participation in functional meetings and team events; making suggestions on how to adapt and develop standardised operational practices and processes
- Developing contacts and building effective working relationships with a variety of colleagues, to ensure effective coordination of information and activity
- Providing day to day operational supervision, guidance, and training to members of the team on practices and processes
- Working with the department Manager to ensure that the office develops in line with business needs and continues to provide value adding services
- Developing and maintaining knowledge of payroll legislation and keeping uptodate with developments
You will need to demonstrate:
- Proficient using Excel (e.g VLOOKUP's, Pivot Tables, analytical tools)
- Confident with large sets of data
- Experience using SAP or another ERP system
- Experience participating in networks and improvement initiatives
- CIPP qualification (desirable)
- Data analysis skills
