Reed Secure are working with on of London's major police forces, they are seeking a Project Support Officer to join them initially for 3 months.

The contract is offering a day rate of £180-£200, Umbrella within IR35 and is fully home based.


The successful individual will be supporting the Programme Manager in the delivery of an efficient and effective programme office function by carrying out programme management and administrative tasks following programme office and business management processes.


Knowledge and experience
1 Experience of providing comprehensive programme/project and business support within a large public or private sector organisation (including maintaining accurate records, preparation of relevant documentation for use within the operating model programme,and across the wider network.


  • Experience in the use of MS Project, MS Office and Visio or the ability to acquire these skills with training is essential to this role


3 Excellent communications and interpersonal skills with the ability to create impact and communicate effectively with people at all levels establishing credibility and influencing stakeholders.

Experience of progress chasing, negotiating and influencingand responding to enquiries providing advice and guidance to Chief Officers and senior managers and acting as a focal point for enquirers.

4 Experience and understanding of working in a confidential and/or politically sensitive environment.


5 Excellent analytical and organisational skills, including the ability to plan and manage multiple work-streams and competing priorities; able to evaluate, analyse and swiftly summarise information from a wide variety of sources; numerate with a keen eyefor detail and a passion for accuracy in written and financial reports.

6 Knowledge of the structure of UK policing would be a distinct advantage.
