We have an exciting opportunity for a

Payroll Administrator to join our payroll team.


Reporting to the Payroll Team Leader you will contribute to ensuring that NEC Group employees are paid within the group deadlines and in accordance with the financial regulations and accounting procedures.

In addition, assist in compliance with Group policies, fiscal and other regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all employees are paid correctly and within the Group deadlines and in accordance with Financial Regulations, Accounting Procedures, and Group policies, and comply with fiscal and other regulatory requirements by performing tasks as required.
  • All Group employees details are updated to a high level of accuracy within the week they are received.
  • Ensuring pay processing is to a high level of accuracy and in line with relevant Terms and Conditions for all contract types.
  • Accurate data input and manipulation of payroll data within Microsoft excel spreadsheets for our variable hours paid employees.
  • All wage changes and deductions are checked for accuracy and completed within deadlines specified.
  • Support the resolution of queries passed to Payroll department.
  • Delivery of accurate data loads into the system.

Skills and Experience

  • Payroll experience
  • Essential
  • GSCE or equivalent English and Maths grade C+
  • Strong administration skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Microsoft Excel skills
- iTrent system knowledge
  • Desirable
  • Other Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience of communicating salary or financial information to non finance staff
