Assistant Accountant

Salary:
£30,000 - £35,000 per annum

Location:
Harpenden

Contract:
Permanent

Hours:
Fully time, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5.30pm

COMPANY PROFILE

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for our client who have grown to become a specialised leader within the construction industry.

They are looking for a proactive Assistant Accountant to support the day-to-day operations of the accounting department.

SKILLS REQUIRED

Sage experience is desirable
Good IT skills
Confident and professional telephone manner
Previous experience within a similar role
Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
Strong attention to detail

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with preparation of monthly management accounts
Financial data analysis and reporting
Carry out daily reconciliations
Assist with end of year audit
Submissions of HMRC surveys and national statistics reports
Maintain accurate bank records
Ad hoc duties as necessary to support the Financial Controller
