Change Recruitment are looking for a Warehouse supervisor for our busy client based in St.
Helens, Merseyside.

Monday - Friday / 08:00 - 17:30 St Helens

The Supervisor will work closely and support to the Warehouse Manager in the day to day running of the business

  • Previous Team Leader experience within a warehouse environment
  • Clear, confident verbal communicator
  • Good leadership skills.
  • Ability to fully carry out instructions

Ability to work individually and/or as part of a team:

  • Good knowledge of record keeping
  • PC Literate/ Knowledge of MS programs
  • Knowledge / Adherence of health and safety regulations

The Role

  • Planning resources of up to 20 operatives to maintain and exceed KPI and customer expectations
  • Inform workers of the conditions of work, rules and regulations for the company to ensure that they adhere to company policies.

Performing team meetings and the ability to give workers detailed feedback on individual workers level of performance.

  • Manual Handling
  • To lift, manoeuvre and load various types of products (of various weights) as required.
  • To ensure that pathways used for manoeuvres are kept clear of any obstructions to ensure the safe and smooth transition of the product
  • To ensure that all lifting and manoeuvring of product is carried out in accordance with manual handling procedures
  • To ensure that the team are working in line with all company policies and procedures.
  • Take the lead maintaining safety standards, ensuring that steps are proactively taken to ensure compliance with health and safety requirements, by members of the warehouse team.
  • Constantly inspect all work equipment to identify shortages and damages and relate findings to the warehouse manager for quick resolution to enable smooth flow of operations.
  • Assist to resolve minor conflicts that may arise between workers on site and exhibit good sense of judgment to ensure that parties involved are treated fairly without bias.
