Working with students with SEND including autism, Down syndrome, and SEMH within their SEND department.
Must have at least 3 months of experience supporting SEND students.
Are you a dedicated graduate seeking a fulfilling opportunity in the field of education? We are currently recruiting multiple Graduate Learning Support Assistants to join our highly regarded Secondary School in Ealing.
As a Graduate Learning Support Assistant, you will have the opportunity to support our KS3 & KS4 students in a nurturing school environment that values your expertise.
While previous education experience is not required, applicants must have a minimum of 3 months of experience supporting students with additional learning difficulties.
Additionally, the school offers the potential for fully funded teacher training in the academic year 2023/2024.Responsibilities:
- As a Graduate Learning Support Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in Secondary School classes, specifically in Maths, English, and Science.
- Collaborating closely with teachers to develop engaging and effective learning experiences for students.
- Implementing individualized education plans and providing support to students with diverse abilities.
- Fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Working with students with SEND including autism, Down syndrome, and SEMH within their SEND department.
Requirements:
To excel in this role, you should have:
- A demonstrated enthusiasm for working with children and helping them succeed in their education.
- Previous experience working with children, whether in a paid or voluntary capacity, is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills to establish positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Emotional intelligence and the ability to support a diverse range of pupils.
