Poor mental health among children and young people has been described as an epidemic and an "escalating crisis" nationwide especially since the lockdown following Covid-19 pandemic.
Here at the Royal Free Hospital we are working with partner agencies and commissioners to transform services, particularly to manage acute presentations at hospital emergency departments and community hubs.
The role of the NCL CAMHS Crisis Clinician is pivotal to delivering innovative models of care whilst contributing to assessment and discharge planning of children and young people who present with mental health crisis.
