Senior Developer / Project Lead - London
We are looking to hire a UI focused.
NET Senior developer to join our team, part of Citi's FX Technology development team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that is driven by passion for technology and developing its people.

You will work with our development, UX, QA and business stakeholders, with a lot of room to lead, learn and grow; we are committed to offeringas many opportunities as we can to our team members to help them develop both their technical and leadership qualities.

You, together with the project team you lead, will take on a hands-on role in shaping the future state of our platforms while contributingto our development, testing and deployment best practices.

The role will require you to be able to talk with the business directly and be able to interpret business requirements; as such, previous finance and FX experience, and understanding of the voice business is required.

Our work is highly impactful and enjoysa lot of visibility from senior management; you will get plenty of opportunities to own different parts of the platform, lead project teams from requirements conception all the way to release, as well as work directly with our clients and business.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on one of Citigroup's flagship areas, which will have huge impact on the business, our future architecture and the FX orders market.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Plan, design, develop and contribute to our FX Order Management Technology systems, helping us build their future state
  • Manage the work slate of the development team to ensure delivery of functionality; liaise with the global business, support and development teams to plan and track our deliverables
  • Help enhance our best practices, ensuring that we continue improving our technical and operational standards
  • Close interaction with the business product owner and other internal business users across FX business and technology
  • Mentor junior members of the team

Technical Skills Required:


  • 15+ years of experience building UIs
  • Expert knowledge in the technologies below:
  • .NET, Winforms, WPF, XAML, Windows services
- , Web Services

  • Distributed Technologies: WCF, WSDL, Remote/Socket programming, SOAP, JSON, MSMQ
  • Design Tools: WPF, Expression Blend, SilverLight, Devexpress
  • RDBMS: Any one of Oracle/Sybase/SQL Server
  • Added advantage if there is good knowledge of messaging platforms like Tibco RVD, Solace, Tibco EMS

Non-Technical Skills Required:


  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous experience of driving the workslate of a team, working with the business to understand requirements and translate this into development tasks
  • You have an appetite for taking on challenges and leveraging new technologies
  • You have proven capability to interact with multiple stakeholders and deliver results, taking ideas to production
  • You have good understanding of financial concepts, particularly around FX
