Salary up to 29k + 10 % bonus, Bristol, BS16, 23 days holiday + bank holidays, pension, parking, working 40 hours on a 4 day week, Monday to Thursday

An exciting opportunity to join this highly respected and successful manufacturer as a shift team leader / production team leader / manufacturing shift team leader on the PM shift reporting to the operations and continuous improvement manager.

The shift team leader / production team leader / manufacturing shift team leader role involves the following:
Leading and motivating a shift production team of machine and packing operatives

Review team performance regularly to identify areas for improvement and encourage cross training and progress of individual team members through performance reviews.

Ensure all site specific, quality, housekeeping, operational procedures & hygiene standards are adhered to at all times.

Monitor all required shift documentation ensuring accurate completion for compliance and quality audits against BRC and all operational quality standard targets met.

Ensure regular communication/briefing to provide the team with the relevant information to carry out their shift to maximum effect.
Carry out site safety inspections and assist audits to ensure H & S is adhered to.

Develop and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) through the continuous improvement process with the objective of exceeding the KPI targets.

Plan m/c loading to meet customer requirements.
Quantify plan and organise resources (labour and materials) to meet production deadlines.
Ensure production records i.e. works job sheet, time sheets, computerised information etc are maintained and accurate.
Assist in the anticipated growth and development of the shop-floor operation and continuous improvement orientated.

The shift team leader / production team leader / manufacturing shift team leader role would suit someone with previous team leadership/supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment for a minimum of 3 years, capable of working within a formal quality system, computerised stock control and manufacturing information system.

Trained in modern production techniques and any manufacturing or related qualifications i.e. Mechanical or production Engineering BTEC/HNC or equivalent level and or Supervisory qualifications are ideal but not essential.
