SEND Resource Base Teacher-Stechford
Are you a fully qualified teacher with experience with a range of SEND needs looking for a new opportunity to start ASAP?

I am currently recruiting for a school in Stechford, Birmingham that are looking for a Fully Qualified Teacher to work full-time, 5 days a week in their resource base with children of a range of ages with Autism Spectrum Condition and Communication and InteractionDifficulties.

This role is to start as soon as possible to cover the teacher's maternity leave until the end of the academic year (July 2023).

For this role you there will be expected to plan activities and assess the children, managing a team of staff to allocate tasks and ensure effective communication and you will help to ensure the children's individual needs are met.

You will be required to followthe schools' policies and procedures as well as implementing your own strategies to create an enabling environment for all pupils.

The successful teacher will be nurturing, patient and will genuinely want to make a difference.

You will be part of the school's success and it is important you are able to maintain the quality throughout your time there and reflect the school well just likeevery other member of staff.

The school aims to provide a more suitable learning environment by having a higher ratio of staff to children. Some of the children may gradually transition back into mainstream learning over time and with support.

With the help of the resource base the childrencan thrive both academically and in all other areas of development through the delivery of personalised curriculums.

They focus on multi-sensory learning, self-care and fine and gross motor skills.

Outside professionals such as a Speech and Language Therapist, Educational Psychologist and the Communication and Autism Team visit the school regularly to offer support, advice and guidance.
